What a crazy ride the past couple of weeks were? Two weddings back to back and so much detail work. Finally we were on our way to Porterville to set up for Izan & Nelisa's perfect day...
The bakkie was bursting at its seams with books, ribbon, the most beautiful flowers, bird cages and much more!
Izan & Nelisa stay in Durban, but chose the small town of Porterville for their wedding. The venue, Laatson, was a dream to work in, complete with a huge tree, perfect for hanging up the 80 meters of bunting that I made especially to fit the colours & look of this wedding.
My awesome team (eben, lourah, minette & nawaf, thanks guys!!) set to work and it was not long before everything started coming together perfectly! It was just as I imagined during all the months of planning. - This must be one of the best feelings, to see an idea, which started out vague and small, turn into a magical reception hall that will bring a smile to any face.
The vintage "library" inspired stationery was designed & crafted by Stella Bells & the paper patrol. So simple but yet making a statement and contributing to the overall perfection of this event.
The photographer of the day was one of my all time favourites, Carmen Visser Photography and oh boy are the photos not just amazing?! Thank you carmen for letting me share this!!
Congratulations Izan & Nelisa, may you be happy always...

Happy Westcoast Celebration... - Quinton & Charlotte 09.02.2012
It was interesting to be contacted by a guy, wanting to find out about wedding flowers. Little did I know (more or less a year ago), that this man was going to arrange a whole wedding by himself, all the way from the UK, just to make HIS bride the happiest girl in the world?!
Quinton explained that Charlotte felt about sunflowers the "way kids feel about cookies in an orphanage". So I knew, sunflowers it had to be. I have had a thing for yellow the past year, and the colour was no problem for me. I have never done a wedding using sunflowers as the 'main ingredient' but I think it turned out really beautiful. The rustic look and combination with grey and lots of green, gave a colourful edge to the lovely beach venue, Strand Kombuis in Yzerfontein.
Thanks Minette, my bestie for helping out with this one!
The Bride's gorgeous wedding gown was made by Hoops a daisey in the UK.
The Stationery design was done by Stella Bells & the paper patrol.
Breathtaking photography by Adene Photography (thanks for letting me use these beautiful images!).
Stella Bells team also did the manning of the photobooth (will post some shots soon!)
All in all a fun celebration of love as close to nature as it gets!
Enjoy!

Duck egg & all the pretty pastels...
Wow was I excited when Mari contacted me about helping with the styling of her wedding. All the pretty pictures had me so excited I could not help but to start dreaming of all the lovely colours!
I helped Mari with some styling decisions and did a mock up for the flowers... As her sister is also a florist, she had lots of hands to do the flowers on the actual wedding day, and she only wanted a clearer vision of what her ideas looked like in real life. I abselutely LOVED the fluffy garden roses!! How pretty is the yellow carnations in the turquiose ceramic vases? So deliciously gorgeous!
It was only a pleasure to help you mari! You looked amazzzing!
